Importance of Quality Friendships

They say you can’t always pick your family, but you can most definitely pick your friends.  Today, I wanted to share the benefits of choosing quality friendships over quantity, especially later in life, when it’s often more challenging to meet new people.

And since you become the people you mostly surround yourself with, it even more important to guard your inner circle.

Here are some benefits to a close circle of good quality friends:

  • More successful
  • Healthier (both mentally and physically) Studies have shown it to boost your immune system
  • Accountability: good friends will both support and challenge you
  • Happier (Studies suggest that having lots of quality friendships are necessary for well-being and happiness in mid-life.)
  • Friends lessen grief or down-times.
